Pervert fimed school girl and had child sexual images

A TEENAGE pervert who encouraged an underage girl to strip and perform a sex act for him on herwebcam secretly recorded her performance, a court was told.

Ashley Warner, 19, admitted causing or inciting a girl of 15 to engage in sexual activity between July 15 and September 9, 2008.

He also admitted a similar charge involving the same girl committing a different sex act between the same dates.

Warner pleaded guilty to 14 charges of making indecent images of children between August 29, 2005, and October 23, 2008.

These involved 862 still images, 594 screen capture shots and 20 movies at level one, 16 still images, 231 screen capture shots and 20 movies at level two, two still images at level three and nine still images and eight movies at level four.

Categories range from level one to five, five being the most serious.

Prosecutor Kelly Scrivener said some of the images retrieved were of the girl in charges one and two, and had been recorded without her knowledge.

Miss Scrivener told the court that on September 9, 2008, police received a complaint from the mother of a girl of 15 who has Asperger’s syndrome, a kind of autism.

She said Warner had contacted her daughter when she was 11 and renewed contact that summer by mobile phone and Internet.

Miss Scrivener said the girl and Warner, then 18, had become boyfriend and girlfriend, and she stripped for him on her computer webcam, repeating it on other occasions although she did not really want to.

She declined his offer to see him naked.

Police arrested Warner and seized his computer, but he gave a “no comment” interview.

On his computer tower and on disks, police found hundreds of images of child abuse.

Jason Beal, for Warner, said his client came from a settled family background, had five GCSEs and an A-level and had previously worked as a hospital cleaner.

The judge, the Hon Mr Justice Field, told Warner, from Kensington Road, Greenbank: “Something has gone wrong in your life. A dark side has developed in the last two or three years.”

He said it was a matter of public concern that real children were abused to create Internet porn.

But he told Warner he was prepared to take a chance on him by suspending his 12-month jail sentence for two years.

He also ordered Warner to be assessed for two sex offending treatment programmes, imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order until further order and ordered him to remain on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
