Man jailed over porn and arms offences

A 58-year-old Bristol man has been jailed for three and a half years for firearms and child pornography offences.

David Robinson possessed what was described at Bristol Crown Court as a veritable armoury of weapons including machine guns, a rifle and revolvers – one of which was kept fully loaded.

Hundreds of videotapes, some of them containing images of children being abused, were also seized by police who raided his home in the Fishponds area of the city.

Robinson’s arsenal of guns will be destroyed and his name will be added to the Sex Offenders’ Register.

He was also banned for life from keeping guns.
