Three-year ban for filming teenage girl

A PERVERT who secretly filmed a 13-year-old through her bedroom window has been kicked out of the borough by Enfield Magistrates.

Anthony Craig Hodgson, 32, of Uckfield Road, Enfield Wash, recorded 16 hours of footage of the teenager last summer.

Hodgson, who pleaded guilty to making and possesing indecent photographs, was sentenced on Thursday to a three-year sex offenders order and will be placed on the sex offenders register for five years.

Under the order, Hodgson, who is single and unemployed, will be kept out of the borough for three years and put on a secure sex offenders programme.

Magistrates were told how Hodgson, who was ‘fascinated’ by the teenager, filmed her every move. He was caught in spring this year after the footage, along with some notes, were discovered under a traffic cone in Highlands Village, Winchmore Hill, by a passer-by walking his dog.

The dog sniffed out the package and it was handed into officers at Operation Sapphire, the borough’s specialist sex offences unit.

Police were able to arrest Hodgson the following day after painstakingly searching the video for clues and he was kept in custody.

DS Gerry MacDonald of Operation Sapphire said: “Hodgson recorded her every move. I am pleased we have been able to capture and deal with him.”
