Bus driver got teen pregnant

BUS driver Phillip Boulton had sex with two girls – making one of them pregnant – after taking advantage of them, Grimsby Crown Court heard.

Boulton, 24, of Highthorpe Crescent, Cleethorpes, admitted four offences of having sexual activity with two teenage girls.

Philip Standfast, prosecuting, said one of the girls got to know Boulton in 2005 through a friend.

They had sex and she became pregnant.

Their relationship continued and they had sex again.

She discovered she was pregnant and later had an abortion.

The other girl developed a “crush” on Boulton while he was working as a bus driver between September and November last year.

She regularly travelled on buses he was driving and they exchanged messages.

They had sex after going to some fields.

Andrew Bailey, mitigating, said Boulton made full admissions to police about both girls when they quizzed him after the second of them complained.

Mr Bailey said: “He is very sorry about what happened.

“He wishes none of this had happened. They were inappropriate sexual relationships.

“One of the girls had a crush on him, which he encouraged.”

Boulton was jailed for four years and three months. He was ordered to register as a sex offender for life and was made the subject of a sexual offences prevention order.
