Pervert Peter Timmis must serve 18 years

A PAEDOPHILE who forced one of his child victims to re-enact a pornographic film has failed to get his 18-year prison sentence cut.

Peter Timmis was jailed last October at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after being convicted of a string of child sex offences.

He was found guilty of two charges of indecency with a child, three charges of indecent assault, four charges of serious sexual assault, two charges of rape of a child under 13 and two charges of assaulting a child by penetration.

The 30-year-old, of Sparrow Terrace, Porthill, took his case to the Court of Appeal to complain that his prison term is too long.

But that appeal has been rejected by the judges.

Judge Batty told the court: “In the view of this court, the sentence was entirely appropriate, having regard to the gravity of this case.”

“This has had a significant affect physically, emotionally and psychologically on those involved.

“They say you have been great with their children and would have no problems with leaving them in your care.

“You have undoubtedly got some very good qualities and have the support of people in your family.”

Timmis was also disqualified from working with children indefinitely and banned from a range of activities which involved children
