Buckingham palace paedophile had 90,000 child abuse pictures

A SECURITY chief went on the run for three days with the plans for Buckingham Palace after cops found a huge stash of child abuse images at his home.

Disgraced Home Office official David Tracey yesterday admitted downloading 90,000 twisted pictures and films — hundreds of which were of the most depraved level.

But the 48-year-old was let off with a community order. A court heard Tracey used a file sharing website to view the mountain of images during a FIVE-YEAR period.

Cops raided the home he shares with his estranged wife in Billericay, Essex, last November while he was out.

Tracey, who worked closely with MI5 in the Office of Security and Counter-Terrorism, vanished for three days.

The dad of three was found in London and is said to have been carrying top secret documents on security plans at Buckingham Palace and Downing Street in a bag.

Prosecutor Paul Scothern told Basildon Crown Court in Essex: “He made a full admission to officers. The images were for his own sexual gratification.

“There was no indication he had ever been involved in any contact with the children.”

Thousands of pictures showed girls mainly aged nine to 11, said to be Eastern European.

The court heard Tracey, who tried to kill himself after being caught, began looking at the vile images “out of curiosity”.

Judge Ian Graham said he would normally have expected a jail term for what he called “unpleasant, perverted activity”.

He added: “These are real children being forced or persuaded to take part in such activities for the warped pleasure of people like you.”

Tracey was given a community order and a sexual offenders supervision order after admitting making and possessing indecent images of children.

He has also been sacked by the Home Office.
