Pervert took photos of naked boys on trampoline

AN asylum seeker has been sentenced for taking pictures of naked boys jumping on a trampoline.

Yun Wang photographed the two boys while they were playing in a garden.

Derby Crown Court heard the boys told one of their fathers that a man was taking pictures. The father told police, who traced Wang.

Sentencing Wang to a six-month community order, Judge John Burgess said: “If you didn’t understand it before I’m sure you understand now how seriously people regard this sort of behaviour.

“The parents of this child must have given you an idea as to how angry and upset they were. This kind of behaviour is not acceptable.”

But he said it should not be taken “out of proportion”.

“The children were not harmed and these photos were not nearly as bad as many the court have to deal with,” said Judge Burgess.

Jonathan Straw, prosecuting, said the incident happened last July. He said before Wang, 37, took the photographs the father had seen the boys without their clothes on and told them to put their shorts on.

The boys later told the father that a man had been taking photos of them while they were still undressed. “He was very concerned and angered by the news,” said Mr Straw.

The court heard that Wang was a failed Chinese asylum seeker and his immigration status was under review.

Wang, of Nottingham Road, Ilkeston, admitted taking indecent images.

Judge Burgess said: “I’m concerned about what you have done and I want to make sure nothing like this happens again. It may well be that the immigration authorities ensure that you cannot do anything like this in this country, for as I understand it you are a failed asylum seeker.”

Wang will be supervised by the probation service for six months and must sign the sex offenders’ register for five years. He was banned from working with children.
