Paedophile hounded out of two houses in less than 24 hours

A convicted Hull paedophile has been hounded out of two homes in less than 24 hours by furious residents.

Mark Blaylock, who is on the sex offenders’ register for life, abused two 13-year-old girls after a period of “prolonged grooming” but has since been released from prison.

The child sex offender, 47, was jailed for four years but, upon his release, neighbours at his new address discovered his dark past.

Police descended on Otley Close, near Preston Road, on Saturday night after furious residents turned on Blaylock.

One woman was filmed shouting at the paedophile as he was led away

“We’ll meet again, kid,” she said. “We did what we said we would do.”

Just hours after the short video clip appeared online, on the Hull Monsters Exposed Facebook page, his new neighbours discovered who had moved into their street.

He lasted just six hours in Valentines Close, Boothferry estate, before the police had to be called there

He was filmed being led away once again – this time in broad daylight and surrounded by a large crowd.

“Mucky b******,” one woman is heard shouting.

A man then says: “Yeah, get out of here.”

He was led into the back of a police van and taken away.

In 2015, Blaylock was convicted of three separate counts sexual activity with a child under 16 – the culmination of a sustained period of grooming.

He tried to kiss one girl as he stood beside her on the first occasion, before kissing and touching her on several times after he got in touch via Facebook.

He then committed serious sexual assault on her before the girl’s mum found out what happened after confronting her over posts she found online.

The second victim had a similar experience although Blaylock denied any wrongdoing with both children.

He was convicted of three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and three of attempted sexual activity with a child.

Pervert who groomed and sexually abused two young girls has been jailed for four years

Mark Blaylock, 42, was convicted by a jury at Hull Crown Court of three counts of sexual activity with a child under 16 and three of attempted sexual activity with a child.

The court heard the abuse began when both victims, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were aged 13.

On the first occasion, Blaylock tried to kiss one of the girls while standing next to her.

John Thackray, prosecuting, said: “He told her he really liked her and put his arm around her.”

Just over a year later, Blaylock, of 16th Avenue, north Hull, began contacting the same girl on Facebook, which was followed by him kissing and touching her on several occasions.

He then carried out a more serious sexual assault on the girl.

Her mother discovered what was going on after logging on to her Facebook account, which showed the contact Blaylock had been having with the girl.

“What she saw horrified her,” Mr Thackray said.

The girl explained what had happened to her when questioned by her mother, who then contacted police.

The other girl suffered a similar experience, with Blaylock putting his arms around her, touching her, and trying to kiss her before committing a more serious sexual assault, during which he kept calling her “lovely”, the court heard.

Mr Thackray said: “The prosecution say he was grooming both girls, gradually building up the abuse from kissing to touching.”

Sentencing Blaylock, who denied any wrongdoing, Judge Peter Kelson QC said the abuse had a “profound” effect on the girls and had taken place after “prolonged grooming”.

Blaylock was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
