Man pleads guilty to possessing indecent pictures and videos of children
A man could face jail after admitting possessing indecent images and videos of children.
Dean Frederick Clements, 29, of Pickup Street, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty at Burnley Crown Court to 10 counts of making indecent photographs of a child.
Police received intelligence about images being accessed between May 2013 and February 2014 and executed a warrant at his home at 10.35am on February 27 last year.
They seized computer equipment and found category A – the most serious – images as well as category B and C images along with videos.
Stephen Parker, prosecuting, told the court: “There has been discussion between the defence and prosecution in relation to this matter. The pleas are now agreed.”
Judge Simon Newell ordered a pre-sentence report and bailed him for a sentencing hearing on Friday, September 25.
He warned Clements: “All sentencing options are open to the court including custody.
“Between now and then you are on bail but you are not to read anything into that as to what the ultimate sentence will be.”
Clements was also made subject to police notification requirements.
