Paedophile jailed for sexually abusing young girl while living in Faversham

A paedophile who repeatedly abused a young girl over an 11-year period has been jailed.

Antony Gorf, 62, of Ethelbert Crescent, Cliftonville, attacked his victim on several occasions.

The abuse started in the late 1990s and happened while he was living in Wallers Road, Faversham.

Gorf denied the offences but was found guilty of 10 counts of sexual abuse following a trial at the Old Bailey in London in August.

He was remanded in custody until his sentencing today, when he was jailed for 14 years and ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register for life.

Afterwards, Detective Constable Richard Brown said: “The sentence imposed on Antony Gorf reflects the seriousness of the terrible offences he committed against his innocent victim.

“I would like to pay tribute to her for the strength, courage and determination she has demonstrated in speaking out and helping to bring Gorf to justice, and also to those family and friends who have supported her throughout the investigation and trial.
