Sex act pervert blames his victim for his offences

A pervert who committed sex acts in front of a child has branded the victim a ‘sexual predator’

The court was told that the young victim was left depressed and upset after the ordeal.

Wayne Middleton, 55 of Angus Walk, Macclesfield denied any wrongdoing until the day of the trial in May – and even claimed the victim was at fault.

At Chester Crown Court, Middleton eventually admitted two charges of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child and was jailed for 21 months.

The court heard that Middleton considered the victim a ‘sexual predator’

Sentencing Middleton, Judge Raj Shetty said: “I still dont know why you put blame on the victim. She was, and still is a child, no more, no less.”

“Children are vulnerable and must be protected from the sexual interest of adults. Everyone should know these boundaries, and you crossed that line twice so seriously that immediate custody is justified.”

The court heard the offences took place in Macclesfield in 2013.

Prosecution said that after one of the incidents the girl spoke to her mother saying ‘please don’t let him tale me away’

The court was told that the victim was left feeling upset and scared. Middleton had told the child not to tell her mother and he tried to bribe her into silence with an offer of money

He added that the victim also told her mother that the defendant had exposed himself and also showed her an indecent picture on his mobile phone.

Middleton was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for 10-years.

He was also given a sexual harm prevention order banning him from any contact with children aged under 16-years-old.
