Convicted paedophile sentenced to 12 years

A man has been convicted of a number of sex offences following a following a West Mercia Police investigation.

Leonard Reece, aged 71 of Walter Nash Road East in Kidderminster, was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court today (Monday 9^th November) and will serve twelve years in prison.

He will be subject to notification on the sex offenders register and has also been served a sexual harm prevention order.

At an earlier hearing he pleaded guilty to:

• Three counts of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration

• Two counts of assault of a girl under 13 by touching

• One count of causing or inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity involving no penetration.

The offences occurred between January 2008 and January 2011, and involved a young girl. Reece was arrested after the offences were reported, and subsequently charged.
