Paedophile who filmed himself raping young girls jailed for 20 years

A London man who recorded himself raping young girls has been jailed for 20 years.

Jamie Ulrich made the recordings as he carried out the rapes on two girls under 13 years old, both of whom were previously known to him.

Ulrich, 29 and of Hillingdon, pleaded guilty at Isleworth Crown Court on September 15 to seven counts of rape of a girl under 13 years.

He also pleaded guilty to one count of penetration of a girl under 13, two counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and nine counts of making or distributing an indecent photograph of a child.

He was sentenced at the same court on Tuesday (October 17), to 10 years for raping the first girl and 10 years for raping the second: both sentences are to run consecutively.

Ulrich will have to serve two -thirds of his sentence before being considered for release.

Upon release he will face eight years extended licence and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, restricting his access to those under 16 and electronic media devices for life.

All the offences occurred between October 2016 and June 2017 in the Hillingdon area.

The offences came to light after officers from the Child Abuse and Sexual Offences Command (CASO) executed a search warrant at Ulrich’s address on Friday June 2.

They were acting on information that Ulrich was in possession of indecent images of children. A review of the evidence seized led them to one of the victims.

Ulrich was further arrested on June 12 and charged the next day with one offence of rape of a girl under 13 years and three offences of making indecent photographs. He was remanded in custody at the time.

However, following further investigation, a second child victim of rape was discovered and Ulrich was charged with the additional offences on August 21.
