Pervert believed he was grooming girl for sexual activity

A pervert who believed he was grooming a child for sexual activity has avoided prison

Unemployed Nicholas Anthony Jones of Ellesmere Port appeared at Chester Crown Court where he pleaded guilty to sexual communication with a child and attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming.

He also admitted two counts of Possessing a Class B Drug

The court heard that Jones had contacted what he believed was a 15 year old girl.

Sexually explicit messages were sent by Jones with the intent of meeting the child for sex.

In a series of messages, Jones demanded and threatened the child to leave school early to meet him. But he cancelled at the last moment.

Jones was also talking online to another decoy from Totnes Justice who pretended to be a 12 year old girl. Again Jones sent sexual messages

Jones was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years and a 10 year sexual harm prevention order was also put in place to restrict his internet use
