Raging mums ‘worried sick’ after pal sends pictures of their kids to convicted paedophile in jail

Three East Kilbride mums have been left “feeling physically sick” after a so-called pal sent pictures of their kids to a convicted paedophile in jail.

Gary Queen was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2011 after being found guilty of raping and grooming a minor. He was also found guilty of lewd and libidinous practices.

He had been released early from jail and shacked up with the woman, who we are choosing not to name, with the pair becoming so close they ended up engaged.

Despite Queen being sent back to prison for breaching the terms of his licence in 2017, the woman stuck with him and started trying to organise their wedding.

She says Queen begged her to send pictures of families into the prison to help convince the Social Care and Justice team that he had a support network waiting for him on the outside with the hope of securing an early release.

But having found out the full extent of his depravity, she immediately distanced herself from him and confessed what she had done to pals.

The News understands she has now even moved to have him banned from seeing her and her kids.

Mo Macmillan, Debbie Muir and another mum, who does not wish to be named, have been left “fuming” after their acquaintance confessed to them she had been sending pictures of their kids to Queen.

Now Mo has told how she was left “feeling sick” at the thought of what the paedo was really doing with the pictures.

Speaking exclusively to the News, Mo said: “It has made me so ill – I’m still struggling to eat and sleep.

“She’s affected my mental health so badly with this. My family and partner agree that it’s just sick what she’s done to us.

“He is a paedophile and has pics of young mums and their kids sent to him. I’m worried sick that I’ll be targeted in future.

“I don’t know who has the pictures, who has seen the pics and – not to sound crude – what they’ve done with or to them.

“Ninety-nine percent of my posts on Facebook are of my son, so alarm bells are ringing. The whole situation is very concerning.”

In a recording heard by the News, the woman admitted sending the images to be used in support of the 47-year-old’s appeal for an early release.

She then confesses that she found out the true extent of Queen’s conviction and claims he had been lying to her the whole time.

Talking about him being in Barlinnie prison, the woman said: “It’s totally f****d up.

“He’s been lying to everyone from day one about the full thing.

“The age, sentence, the lot – the lassie was 10. Who knows what he was doing between when she was 10 and 16.”

The “friend” told Mo that she sent the pictures, despite not having the permission of the three East Kilbride mums to do so, nor them even knowing who the creep was.

Another mum, who wishes to remain anonymous, told us how she found out about the backstabbing after it emerged the woman had sent an EK News cutting to Queen as he rotted in jail.

She added: “I told her I didn’t agree with her sending the picture because my kids were in the photo and the nature of Gary’s offence.

“I then asked her if she’d sent any other pictures and she admitted sending pictures of my sons – in these pictures my youngest was just a few weeks-old and my eldest was seven.

“She asked me before if she could send pictures to which my exact words were, ‘absolutely bloody not. You’re not sending pictures of my sons to a paedo wing’.

“But she obviously went behind my back and did it anyway.

“She told me she had sent pictures of Mo and Debbie’s sons. I told her it was disgusting and wrong on so many levels and gave her an ultimatum to tell the girls.”

Third mum Debbie told us how Police Scotland had been contacted about the matter and statements from the trio were taken.

But, she said nothing was done about the woman’s actions.

She added: “Prison officers searched his cell, but said there was no photos.

“So we have been left here wondering where these pictures have gone, who has them, who has seen them? It’s terrifying to think a paedophile could have pictures of our kids.

“This woman has put us through Hell, our kids’ privacy has been violated and she won’t even admit she’s done wrong.”

Police Scotland confirmed the victim of Queen’s initial charge was a minor, with the Scottish Court Service confirming the charge and that the had been sentenced to 10 years in 2011.

The News tried to contact the woman for her comment, but were unable to do so. We have chosen not to name her on this basis.
