Pervert pensioner, 65, spared jailed after indecent assaults

Pervert Thomas Mason has been allowed to walk free from court – despite admitting two separate counts of indecent assault.

The 65-year-old appeared at Stafford Crown Court facing two charges that date back to the 1990s in the Tamworth area of Staffordshire.

Mason, of Freesland Rise, Nuneaton, pleaded guilty to two indecent assaults against a girl under the age of 16 and was handed a 21 month prison sentence, suspended for 18 months for both.

Mason was also given a supervision order for 18 months and must attend a rehabilitation activity requirement of 21 days.  

He was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years and added to the sex offenders’ register for five years.

He was sentenced on 16 July at Stafford Crown Court.
