Teenage pervert made indecent 17-minute video of young girl
A perverted teenager who made an indecent 17-minute video of a young girl before sharing an image of it online has been locked up.
A court heard Jake Macro, 18, of Clayton Street, Great Harwood ‘ordered the girl to strip and spoke sternly to her’ during the clip, which he recorded on a mobile phone.
Prosecutor David Clarke told the Preston Crown Court that in addition to producing the video and sharing a still from it to an online group, police found almost 200 indecent pictures of young girls, all apparently between the ages of four and nine, on two of his devices.
Mr Clarke said police became aware of Macro after suspicious activity on Facebook was reported to them.
He said: “On August 15, 2018, police attended the defendant’s home in Great Harwood.
“After speaking to his parents, they arrested the defendant and a number of devices were seized.
“When police examined a Samsung mobile phone and memory stick they found indecent images.”
The period spanned from June to August, 2018, just before Macro turned 18.
Mr Clarke said 58 category A images, the most serious type of child sexual abuse, 33 category B, and 89 category C still images and one video were found, along with a prohibited child sexual abuse image and an extreme pornographic image.
Macro, who cried and wiped tears from his face throughout the hearing, had earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of a child, one of distributing an indecent image of a child, one of possessing a prohibited image of a child and one of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
Recorder Mark Ainsworth told Macro an immediate custodial sentence was necessary.
He ordered him to be detained at a young offenders institute for four months.
He was also made subject of a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and told to sign the sex offenders’ register.
