Perv takeaway delivery driver’s skin-crawling seven-word comment to girl, 15, after kissing her

A perverted fast food delivery man kissed a 15-year-old girl on the lips – after declaring: “I have been dying to do this.”

Twisted Stephen Proctor kissed the helpless teenager after forming a relationship with the schoolgirl.

The perv, from the Midlands, was working as a takeaway delivery driver and had previous convictions for sexual offences.

The 52-year-old gave her cigarettes and money, took her to the seaside, and would take her out in his work’s vehicle.

Now Proctor has been sentenced to 12 months in prison, suspended for two years, at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court.

The court heard how the offending happened over a five-week period earlier this year.

Prosecutor David Bruce told the court: “On one occasion the defendant grabbed her and said, ‘I do care about you’. She felt that was a little bit intense. He did know her age.

“On a second occasion she was in a passenger seat and he grabbed her face and kissed her on the lips. He said, ‘I have been dying to do this’.”

Proctor, of Northwood Court, Hanley, admitted a charge of sexual activity with a child.

As part of the suspended sentence, Proctor must complete a sex offenders’ accredited programme and is subject to a 12-week electronically-monitored curfew from 8pm to 5am.

He has also been made the subject of an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) and has been placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for 10 years.

Judge David Fletcher told the defendant: “You kissed her on the mouth.

“If you think it is appropriate for a man of your age to have contact with a girl of that age then you are someone who simply does not understand the parameters of appropriate behaviour.

But I know that you know what the parameters are because of your previous convictions. And you cannot get away from that. You have previous convictions which show you are aware of where the appropriate lines are, and you have crossed them.

“You have to avoid that sort of temptation. It is temptation which you have succumbed to.

“Simply keep away from young people of that age.”
