Sexual predator, 32, lured girl, 15, to alleyway after Instagram message

A sexual predator groomed a 15-year-old girl and met her in an alleyway after first speaking with her on Instagram.

Calculating Jack Parker was already hit with a sexual prevention order, the previous year, for trying to lure another girl, aged 13, who was actually an undercover police officer.

But this time the 32-year-old targeted a real victim and the pair began messaging on social media.

He first targeted the victim on Instagram, which requires users to be 13 years old to have an account.

He made an hour-long journey, driving through the northwest to meet the 15-year-old when she climbed out of her bedroom window and had sex with Parker in the Warrington alleyway, the court heard.

Parker, also known as Adam Carling, was accused of having sex with her again when he drove her to his home in Blackpool after she escaped from home.

He spoke of wanting to marry her, and removing her from her family, as the pair exchanged 13,000 WhatsApp messages, many of them inappropriate.

The abuse only came to light when the girl’s mum discovered a mobile phone she was unaware of which Parker had supplied the teen so he could communicate under the radar.

The sex offender was arrested at his flat where police found a number of other electronic devices which contained further incriminating evidence.

Parker, from Blackpool, was also found in possession of a number of letters addressed to the victim and her parents.

In letters to the parents he attempted to explain his actions and even asked for permission to maintain contact with the victim.

Parker’s name, in the girl’s phone, was saved under the title “Fiance,” it was heard at Liverpool Crown Court.

Today, detectives described him as a “sexual predator who preyed on a vulnerable young girl.”

Parker was jailed for nine years and four months, which comprises of a custodial term of five years and four months and an extended licence period of four years.

He pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child and also admitted meeting a child after grooming and breach of a previous Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The contact between the two started in June 2019, and they first met in December, four days before Christmas.

Lancashire pervert snared by undercover officer

A convicted sex offender who tried to groom a youngster online fell prey himself – to an undercover police officer.

Adam Ashley Carling, 29, formerly of Ridley Road, Preston, but now of of Navena Avenue, Fleetwood, engaged in sexual chat with a girl he believed to be just 13, Preston Crown Court heard.

Carling, who has convictions for possessing indecent images at his former Preston home, is beginning a 30 month jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a 13-year-old to engage in sexual activity, and attempting to communicate with a child for the purpose of sexual gratification.

Police swooped on his current home in Fleetwood on November 17 after tracing his IP address.

Paul Brookwell, prosecuting, said: “The defendant was relatively easily traced because his online accounts were traced to his address and during the course of the conversations he gave his correct email address.“

During the early part of the conversation, the first time they had spoke, she told him that she was 13 and the defendant said he was 29. “

He acknowledged he would get in trouble by the police if he was caught.” Carling made no comment in a police interview.

Recorder Andrew Nuttall ordered him to sign the sex offender register for 10 years.

He said: “ Through the medium of the internet a connection was made with you. “Over a period of time an attempt at these crimes were committed.
