Paedophile came into contact with nine-year-old boy

A pervert convicted of possessing indecent images of children repeatedly came into contact with a nine-year-old boy.

Blackburn magistrates heard the contact represented a breach of a sexual harm prevention order which required Mark Walduck to have the express approval of Social Services before having contact with children.

The court was told the child’s family were aware of the order and Walduck’s conviction and had no problem with the contact.

Walduck, 53, of Victoria Street, Clayton-le-Moors, pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order. He was fined £135 with £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge.

Passing sentence the chairman of the magistrates said they accepted it had been a mistake by the defendant.

Andy Robinson, prosecuting, said the child’s family were fully aware of the conviction and the order and thought they were complying.
