Doncaster man starting 28-year jail term
A Doncaster man is starting a 28-year jail term after being convicted of a catalogue of sexual offences against two underage teenage girls.
Gareth Morgan, 40 abused the victims when they were between nine and 14-years-old.
His horrific actions came to light when a referral came in about Morgan viewing indecent images online in November 2015.
Early enquiries quickly showed that Morgan’s actions went far beyond the initial report, when the two girls told their families and police officers about the abuse they had suffered at his hands.
Throughout the two-week trial, the court heard how Morgan abused his victims while he thought they were asleep, while on day trips, and he took photos of them which he then posted online.
Morgan also posed as a teenager himself online, coercing the girls in to sending him indecent images and videos of themselves.
Morgan continues to show no remorse for his crimes, instead developing a web of lies that his perverse actions were in some way to protect the victims.
