Park pervert asked three schoolgirls to pay him for sex

A 40-year-old pervert asked three schoolgirls in a park whether they wanted to pay him for sex, a court heard.

Twisted Robert Farr asked the trio who were aged aged between 12 and 14 whether they wanted to be prostitutes when they were older.

He also told the girls in Mount Wise Park that he wanted them to be “great wives”, Plymouth Crown Court heard.

One of the girls was so scared that she called the police.

A judge warned Farr that he could send him to prison for two years.

But Judge William Mousley added: “Your behaviour towards females in the past has been inappropriate. Quite clearly something need to be done to address your behaviour.

“It seems to me in the better interests of everyone that a determined effort is made to stop you behaving like this in the community.”

Farr was handed a three-year community order with sex offender treatment and a three-month nightly curfew.

He must wear a GPS tag for a year – which is meant to deter him and pinpoint him at the scene of any anti-social behaviour around children.

Farr, of Frederick Street, Stonehouse, pleaded guilty to sexual communication with children on June 29 last year.

Sophie Johns, for the Crown Prosecution Service, said that Farr approached the girls sitting on exercise equipment in the park at about 7pm.

She added that he said he was Robert and gave his age.

Miss Johns said: “He asked the girls what they wanted to be when they were older and suggested prostitution. But he said they were too young.

“He asked the girls whether they wanted to pay him for sex. He said he was experienced and wanted them to be good wives.”

The barrister said that he asked the girls their ages and they said they were 14.

Miss Johns added: “He asked one of the girls on a date and told them about the younger prostitutes he had seen.”

The court heard that some boys of a similar age came over to talk to the defendant as the girls tried to move away.

Miss Johns said that Farr tried to continue the discussion with them.

She added that one of the girls called the police and officers arrested Farr in the park.

He told police he thought the girls were older and said they were the ones who brought up sex.

Farr will be on the Sex Offender Register for five years.
