Pervert took pictures of girl, 5, in sexualised poses
A pervert who took pictures of a five-year-old girl in sexualised poses has been jailed for 21 months.
Christopher Mullins’ crime was discovered after police raided his home and seized a Playstation 4, Xbox and Sony mobile phone.
When the phone was examined, officers found 10 images the 30-year-old had taken of a young girl without her mother’s knowledge. There were also 125 indecent images of young girls in tight-fitting swimwear he had downloaded.
Kate Hammond, prosecuting, told Bolton Crown Court Mullins had tried to hide the pictures using anti-forensic software.
The girl’s mother, once a friend of Mullins, said: “He knew I would never give him permission to take any photographs which were of a sexual nature. It makes me feel sick.
“I am concerned about how far this has actually gone. My daughter doesn’t understand any of this. It makes me unsure what to tell her. She is innocent and has been taken advantage of. Chris will want forgiveness which I am not willing to give.”
Recorder Geoffrey Payne was told pictures Mullins had taken of the girl showed her underwear.
Mullins, of Chapman Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to making and possessing indecent images of children but there had to be a trial of issue as he claimed he did not have a sexual interest in children. The court found that he does.
Jailing Mullins, Mr Recorder Payne said: “I saw the photographs — they appeared posed and were not taken spontaneously. These were sexualised poses and the inference I was sure about was they were posed for your sexual gratification.”
Mullins was placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years.
