North Staffordshire teaching assistant with ‘uncontrollable urges’ simulated sex with girl in secluded wood
A teaching assistant simulated sex with a girl after luring her to a secluded wooded area.
Pervert Paul Armstrong – who later told police he has an ‘uncontrollable urge’ – rubbed himself against his victim during the incident.
And the 22-year-old was also snared by paedophile hunters after he encouraged ’14-year-old girls’ – who were actually paedophile hunters – to perform sex acts.
He also sent the decoys obscene videos and pictures of his naked body.
Now Armstrong – who worked at a school in North Staffordshire – has been jailed for three years.
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard from prosecutor David Jackson that Armstrong asked the girl to send him naked photos of herself, and he sent her images of his own bare upper body.
They arranged to meet up last year. The girl was said to be drunk and they met in woodland, the court heard.
Mr Jackson said Armstrong simulated sex with the girl. Her mum later discovered the messages on her devices.
Armstrong was arrested and released under investigation.
But on November 15, 2019, using a Facebook profile of Danny Scott, he made contact with a 14-year-old girl, who was a decoy set up by a paedophile hunter group.
Mr Jackson said: “He said he was 22 and she told him she was 14. He suggested they played a truth or dare game.
“He directed her to the question, ‘send me a picture’. Messages continued to be exchanged over six weeks until December 30.”
He added: “He asked what she was wearing and whether she had a boyfriend.
“He asked her to send naked pictures of herself. He sent a picture of himself naked.”
He encouraged her to perform a sex act on herself.
On November 16, 2019 he contacted someone who was again a decoy set up by the paedophile hunters, posing as a 14-year-old girl.
Mr Jackson said: “He told her to take her top off. He sent her the same video.
“He instructed her to remove her top. It continued until she told him she was naked.”
He encouraged her to perform a sex act.
The paedophile hunters visited the defendant at his home on January 4. He agreed it was his Facebook profile and he had been messaging what he believed were children. The police were called and he was arrested.
In his police interview he said he was getting sexual gratification. He said he knew it was illegal but he has an ‘uncontrollable urge’. He added he has sought help from the Lymebrook Centre in Newcastle.
Armstrong, of Watlands View, Porthill, pleaded guilty to sexual activity with a child; two charges of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity; and attempting to engage in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
Armstrong was placed on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and was made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for seven years.
And he was barred from a range of activities involving children and vulnerable adults.
