A pervert who was caught in a undercover sting by a paedophile hunting team has been handed a community order.
Stuart Eaton, 27, of South London, appeared in court to be sentenced for an offence of sexual communication with a child
The court was told that Eaton had contacted the online profile of someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl.
Eaton sent a number of sexually explicit messages with the intent of inciting the girl into sexual activity. He instructed the child on how to masturbate and told her that he would like to have sex with her.
He sent four explicit images of himself which included two of himself naked in the bath
However, the girl did not exist and was instead a decoy – called Ava Young – from paedophile hunting team ‘No More Secrets – Isle of Wight’
The team were satisfied that Eaton had committed offences that crossed the threshold for a conviction and went to his house in June 2019 to confront him on his internet activity.
Eaton was not at home, so the team handed their evidence pack into the police who arrested him and questioned him about his online chats.
The judge handed Eaton a one year community order
A five year sexual harm prevention order was imposed, and he was ordered to complete 180 hours of unpaid work
A £450 fine was imposed and Eaton was told to complete a rehabilitation programme.
Eaton must also register as a sex offender for a period of five years.
