Sick paedo’s sex abuse of two girls, one aged four

A depraved Worcestershire paedophile that sexually abused two little girls, one aged just four, and who admitted he got turned on by vile images of child rape and bestiality is now behind bars.

Lester Caine, who claimed to have erectile dysfunction after a hernia operation, abused the two girls aged four and six nearly 30 years apart and was caught in the act of abusing his victim.

The portly paedophile who sported a greasy mullet appeared to know he was going to prison when he appeared at Worcester Crown Court today carrying two bags, a large red holdall and a carrier bag.

The 65-year-old of Smallbrook Road, Broadway, showed no emotion when he learned his fate having already admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity in 2019, indecent assault against another child between 1992 and 1994 and possession of indecent images of the worst kind (category A) showing the rape of children, one of the children estimated to be just three years old.

All devices containing the images will be destroyed.

The child molester, who has been married for 44 years and is still said by his barrister to be on speaking terms with his wife, assaulted the four-year-old on July 20, 2019.

The girl was seated in a chair at the time and naked from the waist down when the defendant performed a sexual attack upon her.

Andrew Wilkins, prosecuting, said Caine was caught carrying out the attack by an adult who saw him kneeling on the floor in front of the child, shouting at him: “What do you think you’re doing? Get out!”

DNA evidence also identified the defendant after police were called. The indecent assault was committed against another female child between 1992 and 1994 when the victim was aged six or seven years.

Both the victim and the defendant were clothed during the assault. “At the time she was confused about what was happening and did not really understand” said Mr Wilkins.

However, she let her husband know what had happened to her and disclosed the assault to her mother when she learned of Caine’s more recent sexual activity involving the second child.

The indecent images were found on a USB and hard drives when police searched Caine’s home during the course of the investigation.

In total officers found 186 images at category A, 91 at category B, 350 at category C and 47 extreme pornographic images involving animals, including horses and dogs. The ‘vast majority’ of these images were still accessible.

The category A images, the most serious, show children being raped and the 186 images included 125 movies. The disgusting images had been saved in folders one with the title ‘cute models’.

They were created on the USB still in October 2018 but had been made over 11 and a half years.

“Most of the images are females under the age of seven. The youngest child in an image showing penetrative sexual activity is around three” said Mr Wilkins.

Caine, who had no previous convictions, gave a no comment interview to police in July 2019.

Judge James Burbidge QC said: “The offences are many, many years apart but there’s some suggestion from the pre-sentence report that you have harboured paedophile tendencies throughout that time.”

He added: “You are an intelligent man who is well-educated. How you have come to commit these offences, which are perturbing and disturbing, is beyond the comprehension of most right-thinking members of society.”

Jailing him for 40 months, the judge also imposed a lifetime sexual harm prevention order.

Upon his release Caine will be prohibited from having unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 unless with the express consent of the child’s parents or guardians (who have knowledge of his convictions) and with the written, express permission of children’s services or the chief constable of the force for the area.

Restrictions have also been placed on his use of internet-enabled devices which must retain any search history. All devices must be made available on request to the monitoring police officer.

He must not delete the search history or install any anti-forensic software or use social media to contact any person under 16.
