Sex beast, 21, who raped girl, 14, at Scots train station days after jail release unmasked

A sex predator who raped a schoolgirl at a railway station just days after being freed has been jailed again.

Robert Ferrier, 21, had been released from prison just nine days earlier when he struck on a platform at Bogston Train Station, Port Glasgow in August 2019.

He was freed from prison after serving a sentence for possession of a blade while on bail.

Ferrier was found guilty of the horrific sex attack in December, and was caged for six years yesterday.

It is the repeat offender’s 18th conviction and his 12th jail sentence.

The predator will also be supervised for four years on his release. He was also further placed on the sex offenders list indefinitely.

Yesterday, jurors heard how Ferrier’s victim did not know her vile attacker.

Lord Arthurson today told him: “You were convicted of the rape of a 14-year-old girl, who was essentially a stranger to you.

“You had been released nine days previously from a sentence for possession of a knife while on bail.

“This was a grave sexual offence against a child, which occurred in broad daylight.”
