Predatory Blakelaw teenager locked up for sexually abusing young boys
A teenager who carried out a string of sex attacks on two young boys is behind bars after crying during his trial
Ronnie Ferguson preyed on his victims when they were both under 10.
Ferguson subjected his victims to sexual abuse.
He was eventually arrested after his brave victims came forward and reported the sickening attacks.
Ferguson pleaded guilty to nine counts of sexual assault and was later convicted after a trial for nine other offences including sexual assault and oral rape.
The 19 year-old, of Cyncopa Way, Blakelaw, Newcastle, has now been sentenced to 28 months in a young offender institution.
Judge Stephen Earl, at Newcastle Crown Court, said: “The offences are described, properly, as horrific.”
As well as the custodial sentence, Ferguson must sign the sex offenders register and be subject to a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
A family member said in a statement: “It’s just taken the soul out of our lives.
“We are trying to rebuild our lives but it’s taken a lot.
“He preyed on the boys for his own depraved needs. Nothing feels the same anymore. He’s taken their innocence away and this is something none of us will ever get over.”
