Man who sexually abused two girls and avoided justice for years is finally behind bars

A man who sexually abused and raped two young girls has been jailed for 22 years.

Peter Fogg, now 61, abused his two victims in the 1970s and 1980s in the Denton area.

Fogg would force them – individually – to look at pornographic magazines with him and over time this would progress to him performing sexual acts on the girls.

In 2018, one of his victims – now in her late 40s – bravely reported the abuse to the police at Ashton station.

Fogg was interviewed in August 2018 and later charged.

Today, Fogg, of Ashton Road, Denton, was sentenced at Minshull Street Crown Court to 22 years in prison.

He was found guilty of three counts of rape, one count of attempted rape, six counts of indecent assault and seven counts of gross indecency with a child.

The victims have received support throughout the investigation.
