Pervert who searched ‘pre-teen hardcore’ online found with sick images of kids
A pervert who searched for “pre-teen hardcore” online was found with two sick images of a child.
Police discovered the indecent photos, which involved two girls, one as young as six and the other eight, on Darren Russell’s laptop when they searched his Newcastle home.
North Tyneside Magistrates’ Court heard that the pictures showed the girls with their breasts and genitals exposed and one also had an adult male in the shot.
Russell was arrested but admitted in interview he’d been sent a number of vile images of youngsters after viewing and sharing adult porn online but had deleted all but two of them.
Now, the 43-year-old, formerly of Newcastle but now living in Hudson Avenue, in Bedlington, is facing a possible prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to two counts of making an indecent photograph of a child.
Prosecutor, Iain Jordan, said police searched Russell’s then home on Moorside, Great Lime Road, on May 11 last year.
“Officers had received information that illegal images of children had been downloaded at that address, which was linked to an IP address,” Mr Jordan continued.
“Amongst lots of hardware, the item that forms the charges is a laptop, which was seized.”
The court heard that one category B image, which showed a naked girl between the age of six and 10 and an adult male, and a category C image, which showed a naked girl aged between eight and 12, were found on the computer.
Mr Jordan added: “There were only two images found but there were other search terms that caused concern.
“They were found on that laptop and included “PTHC”, or “pre-teen hardcore”, and “teen”.
“There were also two file names located but there was no content in them. One file name was “Seven-year-old dad daughter PTHC” and another “Vicky PTHC”.
“In interview, the defendant accepted he was viewing and sharing a large amount of adult porn.
“He says he was sent the two images on a laptop but hadn’t requested them. He did say he had been sent other indecent images of children, which he had deleted.”
Magistrates were told that Russell downloaded the two indecent photos between December 20 2017 and May 12 2018.
The case was adjourned until next month for the preparation of a pre-sentence report and Russell was released on unconditional bail until then.
