A paedophile that claimed prison was ‘easy’ is sentenced to 30 years

A paedophile that repeatedly abused a five-year-old girl has been sentenced to a total of 30 years

David Dibell of Washington appeared at Court where he was sentenced for the following offences:

  • Rape of a female child aged under 13

  • Sexual assault of a child aged under 13

  • Engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child 

  • Two counts of cruelty to a child

  • Grievous bodily harm with intent

  • Assault occasioning actual bodily harm

  • Dangerous driving

The court was told that steriod taking Dibell had viciously attacked the young girl multiple times inflicting horrendous injuries to her small body.

After one such attack, the young girl was rushed to hospital for an emergency operation which left her with a 10 inch scar.

The surgeon said that the impact to her stomach was equivalent to a car accident.

During the operation, the surgeon noticed other injuries to teh young girls body.

Social services and the police were contacted.

The young girl was interviewed and broke down when describing the pain and abuse she had endured at the hands of Dibell.

Dibell was arrested but denied his actions. He even took to Facebook to call the victim a liar. In another Facebook post he claims prison is ‘easy’. 

During the police investigation, the full extent of injuries and attacks came to light. The child was beaten, slapped, kicked, punched and had her hair pulled on many occasions. She was subjected to sexual assaults and violent rape. 

The coward continued to deny the offences which forced the victim to give evidence against him in court. 

Supported by his friends and family in court, Dibell laughed as he was found guilty of all charges by the jury 

Police officers who had investigated the case, said it was one of the worse they had to deal with in their careers.

The judge handed him an extended sentence of 30 years comprising of custodial term of 24 years and an extension period of six years

A sexual harm prevention order was imposed and he was told to register as a sex offender for life 

A restraining order was made indefinitely to protect the victim
