RAF mechanic had sex with 14-year-old on air base
AN aircraft mechanic has been sent back to England by the Royal Air Force after he confessed to smuggling a 14-year-old girl into his barracks for sex.
Adam Armstrong, 22, who works on Tornados, admitted he told security guards at RAF Lossiemouth, Moray, the girl in his car was his sister and claimed he wanted to show her the base.
Armstrong was ordered to be placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years and was fined #2000 by Sheriff James Penman at Elgin.
Michael Poggi, fiscal-depute, told the court Armstrong began an affair with the 14-year-old when she babysat for a fellow RAF serviceman.
He said Armstrong had smuggled her into the high-security camp on Boxing Day last year, and she had been a consenting party to the sex session. ”There was no suggestion any force was used,” he said. ”But it is clear he was aware of her age.”
The abuse was discovered after the girl’s mother read about the grooming in her diary.
