Derby IT worker caught with horrific images of young girls being abused

A Derby pervert was found to have made an internet search for “the paedophile’s guide to love and pleasure”.

Christopher Eaves also downloaded sick child abuse images of girls as young as two years old during a spell of offending that lasted a number of years.

The more serious ones, which typically show adults engaged in sex with children, were of girls as young as six.

Handing the 40-year-old IT worker a six-month jail sentence, suspended for two years, Judge John Burgess said: “These images are real children being abused.

“It’s the market that drives the abuse of children and people make money from it.

“If it were not for people like you then there would be no market.

“You are effectively sponsoring the abuse of children.”

Esther Harrison, prosecuting at Derby Crown Court, said the dates of the offences spanned from 2011 to 2019 although the evidence later showed most of the offending happened before 2015.

She said police became aware that an internet address linked to the defendant’s then home in Hartland Drive, Sunny Hill, was recognised as downloading child abuse images.

Miss Harrison said: “A warrant was issued on October 14, 2019.

“The defendant was present along with his girlfriend, he was arrested and a number of devices were seized.

“He gave no comment answers in his police interview and the one device of note contained 35 x category A images, 47 x category B and 286 x category C images.

“The category A contained images of girls as young as 6, the category B between the ages of two and five and the category C again as young as five.

Also discovered was an internet search term entitled ‘the paedophile’s guide to love and pleasure’ which appeared to have been used in his browser.

“It also appears he was arrested on similar matters in 2013 but no charges were brought.

“He is aged 40 and of previous good character.”

Eaves, now of Hilltop, Oakwood, previously pleaded guilty to three counts of making (downloading) indecent images of children.

As part of the suspended sentence Eaves must undertake 35 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service.

He was also handed a seven-year sexual harm prevention order and was placed on the sex offender register for seven years.

Middle-aged Derby pervert admits making sick child abuse images

A 40-year-old Derby pervert has admitted to possessing vile child abuse images.

Appearing from his Oakwood home via a link into Derby Crown Court, Christopher Eaves pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children.

He admitted that between November 2011 and October 2019 he made 35 of the most serious category A images.

Photographs and pictures of this type typically show young children engaged in full sexual activity with adults.

Eaves, of Hilltop, also pleased guilty to making 47 category B and 268 category C images between the same dates.

Laura Hocknell, his barrister, successfully applied for an adjournment so her client can be interviewed by the probation service and a pre-sentence report be prepared.

Judge Jonathan Bennett granted that and handed the defendant bail.

He told Eaves he would sentence him on March 26.
