Man admits possessing indecent images and extreme pornographic images

A Lincolnshire resident has appeared before magistrates with six counts making indecent images and possessing extreme pornographic images.

Kevin Andrew Knibbs, 46 years old, of East Lane, Morton in Bourne was at Lincoln magistrates court on Friday, March 26.

He was charged with three allegations of making indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs, of a child, varying from category A to category B, the images discovered totalled over 600.

Knibbs was also charged with one count of possessing extreme pornographic images, one count of possessing a prohibited image of a child and one count of possessing extreme pornographic images portraying an act which involved sexual interference with a corpse, all on 4 December 2019.

He pleaded guilty to all matters. Knibbs also confirmed his date of birth and address before the court.

Magistrates have committed the case and it will be heard before Lincoln Crown Court at a later date, which has not yet been given.

Conditional bail was granted, with the condition that Knibbs is to not have any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 18. This condition was already imposed before the case came to Lincoln magistrates.

The case was too serious for magistrates court and JPs said sentencing would be outside magistrates’ powers.
