Paedophile caught with indecent images of children again
A pervert who has been caught with indecent images of children for a second time has been spared jail.
Matthew McGee, from Birchwood, was fined and handed a two-year community order at Chester Magistrates Court in September last year having been found in possession of 1,041 vile pictures of abuse in April 2020.
But another 1,000 category C indecent images were then found on two devices belonging to the 44-year-old, of Lyster Close, in October.
Warrington Magistrates Court heard on Monday, March 22, that the pervert ‘did not notify police and had no intention to delete them’.
McGee admitted making indecent images, possession of indecent images and breaching a community order during an earlier hearing.
And magistrates handed him a 12-week imprisonment suspended for two years after ruling that he was ‘complying with probation and can be rehabilitated’.
The defendant was also told to pay a victim surcharge of £128 plus £85 in court costs.
McGee will be required to sign the sex offenders’ register for the next seven years, while the forfeiture of his mobile phone was ordered.
A sexual harm prevention order running for the next five years was imposed.
