Man snared by paedophile hunters admits Blackpool child sex offences

A man has pleaded guilty to attempting to encourage a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Michael Bochienski admitted four offences at Preston Crown Court today (April 13).

The 67-year-old, of Crabtree in Peterborough, committed the offences in the Blackpool area between August 2019 and January 2020.

The court heard Bochienski had attempted to engage in sexual communication with who he believed was a girl aged under 13 called Molly.

However, the communication was actually with paedophile hunters.

He also pleaded guilty to attempting to incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, attempting to cause a child to engage in sexual activity and attempting to incite a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Bochienski pleaded not guilty to five similar offences which relate to attempting to encourage a child under 13 to look at sexual images by asking her to look at pictures of his genitals.

One of the offences he pleaded not guilty to referred to him attempting to get the 12-year-old girl to perform a sexual act upon herself.

The defendant made his first appearance at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court on November 24 of last year.

Bochienski will return to the court on July 14 to be sentenced.
