Former Lostock Hall special needs school worker is jailed for abusing child

A special needs teaching assistant has been jailed for 18 months over sexual offences she committed against a 16-year-old boy.

Elizabeth Marland, (42) of Hawkhurst Avenue in Fulwood, Preston previously entered guilty pleas to three allegations during a hearing before Preston Crown Court.

She was formerly employed at Moor Hey Mathematics and Computing Specialist College on Far Croft, Lostock Hall, near Preston.

Judge Beverly Lunt ordered her to sign the Sex Offender’s Register for 10 years.
