Poole man jailed after being found guilty of child sex crimes
A pervert has been jailed after being found guilty of child sex offences.
Stephen David Camp was convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
The verdict from the jury, which related to offences in 2013 and 2014, came after a trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.
On Friday, April 9, at the same court, Judge Robert Pawson jailed Camp, 66 and of Whatleigh Close, Poole, for eight years, with a further one year on licence.
The defendant was placed on the sex offenders register for life and issued with a restraining order, which was made until further order.
Judge Pawson said the sentence was underwritten by the need for the public to be protected.
