Pervert avoids prison after admitting sex offences
A pervert has avoided a prison sentence after he admitted collecting rape, sexual abuse and torture of children images
Paul Dempsey of Bacup appeared at Burnley Crown Court where he faced a number of sexual offence charges relating to children.
Dempsey pleaded guilty to possessing almost 600 indecent images of children, of which nearly 100 were classed as Category A – being the most depraved and perverted abuse against children
The court heard that lorry driver Dempsey also faced a separate charge of inciting a child into sexual activity. However, that charge was dropped as the prosection could not offer any further evidence.
The judge handed Dempsey a three year community order and he was told to register as a sex offender.
