Plymouth pervert set for jail for child sex offences

A pervert faces years in jail after he admitted a string of child sex offences.

Thomas Fletcher, aged 20, has been remanded in custody ahead of sentencing at Plymouth Crown Court.

He pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a child, one of sexual communication with a child and one of inciting a child to watch a sexual act.

Fletcher, of Bayswater Road, Stonehouse, has denied rape of an adult, one offence of sexual activity with a child and one of child sexual communication.

Prosecutors have accepted those pleas so will not be seeking a trial.

Peter Coombe, for the Crown, said there was no reasonable prospect of conviction on the rape charge as the most serious offence.

Judge William Mousley ordered a probation report before sentencing on September 2.

Fletcher was in fact branded a “dangerous prat” by a judge at the same court in October 2019.

The 18-year-old admitted driving a moped dangerously past McDonald’s and around the pedestrianised area of the city centre. He did a circuit around the sundial at speeds of up to 30mph while people were still about.

Fletcher was banned from driving at the time.

He was given a 12-month community order with 240 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to complete 20 days of probation’s Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.
