Pevert caught by paedophile hunting team ‘Totnes justice’
A pervert who used a fake name to groom a young girl online has avoided a prison sentence.
Alex Greenwood of Cambridge appeared at court to be sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual communication with a child
The court was told that Greenwood used the alias name of ‘Mitchell Clark’ to hide his true identity after he contacted who he believed was a 13 year old girl online.
Greenwood sent highly sexually explicit chat with the clear intent of engaging the child into sexual activity.
The pervert became highly obessive towards the girl and would attempt to speak to her by ringing at all hours of the day including repeated calls at 3am.
He continued to ask for naked images of the child and in one instance flashed his penis on webcam.
However, the girl did not exist and was instead an adult member of paedophile hunting team ‘Totnes Justice’ who pose online as children to catch and expose sexual predators that target children for sexual purposes
The judge handed Greenwood an 18 month community order
A Sexual Harm prevention Order was handed down for a period of 18 months and he was told to register as a sex offender
