Oxford paedophile ‘Pervtastic’ logged onto sick Zoom sex shows

A football shirt-wearing paedophile dialled into disgusting underage sex shows on Zoom using the usernames ‘Pervtastic’ and ‘Scallyperv’.

Sheldon Gould, 48, also boasted to other paedophiles on a Skype messenger conversation that he ‘did’ a six-year-old boy – although Oxford Crown Court heard there was no evidence he had sexually abused children himself.

The Oxford man was unmasked after Canadian police officers managed to infiltrate the vile Zoom sessions in 2015.

Prosecutor Richard Merz told the court the group of paedophiles would perform sex acts while watching films of children being raped.

Gould logged onto two ‘meetings’ using the usernames ‘Pervtastic’ and ‘Scallyperv’ and could be seen wearing a red-and-white striped football top in the Zoom room. He also shared log-in details to the perverted Zoom session with others on a Skype messenger conversation.

In Skype messages on an LG mobile phone found next to his bed, the defendant and others spoke about children in highly sexualised terms. Gould claimed that he ‘did a six-year-old’, with another saying the boys were ‘so lucky’ to have the defendant to ‘teach’ them.

Police raided his flat in 2017 and discovered recordings of the Zoom sessions and the Skype message threads.

In interview, Gould claimed he’d invited men he’d met on the internet back to his flat for ‘chemsex’ parties and the men may have played the indecent material in the background while they were having sex.

The defendant, of Elizabeth Jennings Way, Oxford, had been due to stand trial in June but was too ill to attend court. On Friday, he pleaded guilty to encouraging the commission of a child sexual offence, making indecent images of children and possession of indecent images.

Recorder John Hardy QC imposed a two year suspended prison sentence, noting that the offences dated back four-and-a-half years, he suffered from a number of health complaints and is shortly due to start a stint at alcohol rehab.

The judge said: “Whilst these offences are serious, ghastly and the materials are depraved, I have to bear in mind that this is four-and-a-half years ago, for a gentleman who’s suffering a great deal of physical discomfort and has at least some hope through the generosity of others that his problems may cease.”

Gould must register as a sex offender for 10 years. A sexual harm prevention order will be in place for the rest of his life.
