Renfrew pervert removed from home as angry locals surround him shouting ‘beast get out’

A paedophile caught with indecent images of young girls and babies as young as six months old was ousted by house by an angry mob.

The home of Tristram Tolmie, 31, was surrounded by a self-styled group of predator hunters on Wednesday (August 4) with police called into the Dean Park area of Renfrew.

The group, believed to go by the name Fighting Justice Against Predators, were heard shouting “beast get out” before Tolmie was asked to leave for his own safet

His home sits opposite a grassy area, and one woman involved said it’s a regular haunt for local children.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that officers attended, and commented: “Around 7pm on Wednesday, 4 August 2021, police were called to a report of a crowd gathered outside a property in Dean Park, Renfrew.

“The group dispersed after engagement with officers and there was no further police action required.”

Tolmie had previously appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on July 23, and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register

More than 500 photos and videos were found and it emerged he had been hoarding the images at his Renfrew home for six years.

Police swooped in October and he admitted the computer gear containing the disgusting material was his.

The court heard there was a mixture of Category A, B and C images and movies. Many depicted girls aged between ten and 15 years old. However, some of the Category A material featured the baby girls aged from six months.

Other files depicted the sexual exploitation of young girls aged between three and 14.

Tolmie pleaded guilty to possessing indecent photographs of children between September 15, 2014 and October 14, 2020.

He had been given bail, banned from any contact with children under 16 and will be sentenced later this week.
