Grandad living in car after being exposed as paedophile fails to learn his lesson
A grandad forced to live in his car after being named and shamed as a paedophile has been caught with child abuse images – again.
Philip Capel was previously sentenced after police uncovered his stash of indecent images of youngsters at his Cross Heath home.
At the time he claimed he was being ‘victimised’ after his neighbours became aware of his court case
As a result of those offences in 2016, the former delivery driver was made the subject of a five-year sexual harm prevention order which banned him from deleting his internet history.
But when risk assessors visited the 65-year-old’s new address to check up on him, they discovered indecent images of kids
Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard his browsing history included links to a Russian website featuring sickening photos of children.
Now the defendant – who is described as being sexually attracted to young girls – has been jailed for six months.
Capel, of Leycett Lane, Silverdale, pleaded guilty to breaching a sexual harm prevention order, making indecent photographs of children and possessing an extreme pornographic image.
Sentencing the defendant to six months in prison, Judge Paul Glenn said: “In October 2016 for offences of indecent images of children you were made a five-year sexual harm prevention order.
“You deleted the internet history on your phone. You are sexually attracted to young female children.”
