Man jailed for taking indecent photographs of a child
A man has been jailed after he was found to have taken and distributed indecent images of a female child.
Nathan Earle Delgado, 49 (21.10.71) of, Highgate, Haringey, was sentenced on Friday, 18 June at Wood Green Court to two years’ imprisonment.
He was also issued with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
He pleaded guilty at the same court on Thursday, 8 April to two counts of taking indecent images of children, three counts of making indecent images of children, three counts of distribution of indecent images of children and attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act.
On Thursday, 4 March, an arrest enquiry was carried out at Delgado’s address by officers from the Online Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Team, accompanied by the Met’s High Tech Crime Unit.
During the search of his address a number of his electronic devices were seized. He was taken to a north London police station.
Delgado was charged the following day with taking and distributing indecent images of children and remanded in custody.
Analysis of Delgado’s mobile phone found over 5,000 indecent images of children, of which 26 were identified as being taken by Delgado himself.
It also was identified that Delgado had been discussing the sexual abuse of children online, distributing the indecent images as well as engaging in the grooming of a young child online.
